BOTANICUS

The Botanicus Company was founded on the 24th April 1992 as a family business with the goal of producing genuine natural products from home-grown horticultural products, on the lines of a very small number of excellent and well established Herbal Companies, predominantly in England, Germany and Switzerland.

From the beginning the Company enshrined three basic principles as central features of its fundamental business philosophy - namely;

ORGANIC CULTIVATION TRADITIONAL HAND-MADE PRODUCTS OWN-BRAND SALES

This primary theoretical ambition has been turned into reality by the establishment of our own private farm-based manufactory and warehousing and by a certified organic Gardens Complex -the latter as a source of all our own fresh plant requirements for specific food, cosmetic, medicinal and other products by transformation into oil, vinegar, alcoholic, glycerine and other extracted forms for manufacture through the season, as well as providing a general botanical resource serving the purpose of a visitor and recreational centre, and an educational facility. We now receive more than 50,000 visitors annually to the Gardens Complex. Resultant hand-made products are sold exclusively under our own brand in Botanicus retail outlets both in Czech and abroad, each shop designed and furnished in a unique historical Bohemian style.

Based in the small agricultural village of Ostra, the Company has also from its establishment assumed responsibility for numerous social and infra-structural needs of the village and continuously provided financial and human resources to benefit all the inhabitants of its chosen home. We have considered this another central tenet of responsible business.

The Company vision now is to improve its customer services and the service to its many visitors and friends who share a thirst for increased knowledge of the limitless opportunities available from the Plant Kingdom - through innovative products, information and visitor facilities.
